About me

Hi there! My name is Isabelle and I am a thirty-something wife to an awesome husband, a homeschool mother of 3 monkeys with a love of running, food, art and Jesus.

A family of 5 is not exactly a large family, but there are days when I feel like my 3 monkeys multiplied into 30! I’ll share with you some of the things that happen in our home in regards to homeschool and homemaking. You can be the fly on my wall and see how we do things…

I’ll share with you some of my family’s favourite recipes and try out some new recipes where I can share my successes and failures with you. ‘Cause you know, if supper’s going to burn, it might as well be in my house instead of yours!

This is our 5th year of homeschool. My methods and approach has changed and matured with each passing year. I currently have a 12 year-old, a 10 year-old and a 5 year-old. We are teaching in both French and English since my mother tongue is French and my husband’s is English. Finding French worksheets have been a challenge. So over the years, I’ve had to be creative and create things from scratch. I plan on posting them here in the future so I can share them with you as well. Stay tuned!

Over the past couple of years, I’ve been on quite a journey to learn to run. It hasn’t been easy and I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs. But I look forward to sharing with you my reality of training for my first 5k while also being a stay-at-home mother, homeschooling and your other usual activities like cooking, cleaning, taxiing the kids around town, sleepovers, family get-togethers, illnesses, doctors appointments, field trips, … Oh my! I’m already exhausted and I haven’t even moved from my chair! Ha!

My deep love for God is also something I want to share with you. I hope that, while I take time to seek God in my life, I will be able to encourage you to seek God in yours.
